We are looking for a Construction Director to join an on-going project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Your new role, what's involved?
* Establishes assignments and directs the activities of Construction Managers across various units and/or work areas of construction operations.
* Assigns manpower, materials, and equipment to maximize efficiency, maintain schedules, and meet budget goals. Anticipates and resolves various issues such as changes in scope, schedule slippage, and budget overruns. Ensures that critical milestones are met for each project phase. Makes recommendations to upper management as appropriate to resolve major problems.
* Ensures the use of sound construction practices to achieve required quality control with maximum efficiency and minimum cost.
* Prepares periodic reports summarizing the progress of construction activities for senior management and clients, including formal presentations.
* Establishes policies and procedures tailored to assigned projects and ensures adherence.
* Ensures the effective implementation of all Company and client policies and procedures, including labor relations policies.
* Serves as the primary contact for client representatives, subcontractors, and government officials regarding construction-related activities. Maintains strong client and community relations, including making presentations to local civic organizations.
* Performs other responsibilities related to this position as necessary.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
* Bachelor's Degree in construction-related field (or equivalent construction-related work experience), as well as 20+ years of widely diversified experience (including successful management experience) in the construction of large projects.
* Professional accreditations and chartership with institutions such as MCOIB, MRICS, MICE is preferable.
* Requires widely diversified knowledge of construction-related processes and industry practices.
* Demonstrate effective managerial capability on construction projects of comparable scope and complexity is also required, as well as excellent written and oral communications skills (particularly in formal presentations to clients and upper management).
