Cover Supervisor Exeter September Start A Secondary School in Exeter is currently looking for a Cover Supervisor to join them for flexible cover. The school would ideally like someone to join them as soon as possible, for a full/part-time opportunity that runs from Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.30-3.30. The school consistently needs some support in a various classes across KS3 and KS4. Cover work would always be left for you by the Class Teacher, however a general good understanding of most subjects would be helpful. The school is looking for someone flexible and willing to adapt to various classes. You must be completely confident in Teaching across KS3 and KS4. You must also be intuitive as you will be coming in and taking on a pre planned lesson so need to be able to do so with ease. Teaching qualifications are not necessarily essential but we do ideally need someone who has vast amounts of experience working in schools. Having a degree in a specific subject like Maths, for example, would be beneficial. What will you need to do on a daily basis? Active supervision of work, giving students clear instructions to remain on task and responding to any queries Communicate effectively with students to keep them engaged in cover lessons Manage behaviour in line with school policies, promoting positive behaviour Display effective organisational and time management skills and the ability to be highly flexible in a busy school environment Display good Literacy, Numeracy and communication skills to support and include all students Work in conjunction with other staff members to get the best out of the students Report back to the teacher as and when required Working with Long-term Teachers: We are an independent agency working with Nurseries, Primary, Secondary and Special Schools.
