Standards and Expectations
1. Produce good quality work to contract / specification requirements.
2. Preparation and reinstatement of equipment, work area to safe conditions

3. Ensure safe and responsible working and full compliance to company and site safety procedures / initiatives
4. Deliver toolbox talks as required
5. Undertake safety audits as required
6. Ensure full compliance to the Risk Assessment and “Take 2” processes
7. Ensure high housekeeping standards are achieved
8. Support plant investigation processes as required
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience Required Essential
9. Approved apprenticeship
10. Minimum 5 years process plant experience
11. Demonstrate technical capability to supervise in a maintenance environment
12. Basic computer skills
Productivity
13. Make sure that all necessary Alliance Company support, permits, materials, tools, equipment and information are available prior to commence of work
14. Ensure the required standard of workmanship and productivity is achieved
15. Review and update job packs / technical information as required to ensure increased safety and productivity
16. Ensure that activities are carried out in a the most productive manner
17. Identify rework situations to Trade Coordinator
18. Identify all productivity and development issues to the Trade Coordinator
19. Ensure the optimum utilisation of working hours
20. Accept permits as required, on behalf of trade teams, and ensure full understanding by all team members involved in the task prior to commencement of work
21. Support and supervisor sub-contractor activities as required
22. Undertake trade work as required
23. Report daily the progress of the work to the Reliability Planner and update SAP as required
Main Duties and responsibilities
24. Ensure that the work is carried out in the most productive and cost-effective manner
25. Ensure site / plant priorities are addressed in a timely manner
26. Maintain the highest standards of Health and Safety, Environmental Performance and Industrial Relations
27. Ensure good -degree communications with trade teams
28. Ensure performance and competency issues are highlighted / addressed
29. Assist with the application of the disciplinary process as required
30. Ensure development issues are highlighted
31. Ensure individual pro-activity within team members
32. Generate and maintain a culture of Continuous Improvement within team members
33. Supervise team members in an effective and professional manner
34. Ensure adherence to company / site procedures, work processes, drawings / specifications and work order

36. Ensure compliance to appropriate BS and EN standards
37. Support company / site initiatives as required
38. To ascertain job requirements from drawings and/or other specifications.
39. To examine faulty plant or machinery and to ascertain nature and location of defects.
40. To study plant or machinery drawings, technical manuals or other specifications.
41. To determine sequence and method of required operations.
42. To dismantle plant or machinery and remove damaged or worn parts.
43. To repair defective parts, obtain replacement parts or prepare new parts using hand and
44. machine tools.
45. To fit and assemble parts to rebuild plant or machinery.
46. To test plant or machinery for correct functioning and make necessary adjustments.
47. To carry out service tasks such as cleaning, oiling and greasing, according to schedule.
48. To perform all of these tasks in relation to the repair and servicing of various types of
49. mechanical plant and industrial machinery.
50. To operate overhead crane/basic slinging in a safe manner.
51. To install or reposition plant or machinery.
52. To modify standard machinery for special purposes.
53. To adhere to all safety requirements including safety checks of tools and equipment.
54. To use all relevant workshops/site equipment associated with job requirements including all relevant training/certification requirements.
