Job Title: Credit Controller Supervisor
Location: Bone Lane, Newbury RG14 5PX (Office Based)
Salary: Up to £33,000 per annum (FTE)+ performance related bonus (typically £2k to £3k per annum)
Job type: Permanent – will consider part-time (at least 30hrs per week) or full-time

About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for a Credit Control supervisor who will help to ensure the company operates an efficient sales ledger policy in line with the company’s terms and conditions of business in order to maximise customer sales and minimise debts.
Please note that this is an officed based role and therefore candidates must have the legal right of live and work in the UK and live within a commutable distance of Newbury to be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Implement credit policies and procedures to meet cash and debtor targets
2. Chase overdue debts within agreed timescales by telephone, email and letter
3. Identify changes in payment patterns and propose action to advert indebtedness and reduce DSO, old debt and Bad Debt provision
4. Handle disputed invoices and negotiate to bring payment within agreed terms
5. Accurate ‘housekeeping’ of sales ledger accounts
6. Resolve any customer issues by taking a holistic approach to agree resolution
7. Process new customer applications for credit, using credit reference agency
8. Post payments to accounts and allocate as required
9. Produce and review credit reports and undertake analysis and actions
10. Liaise with finance and sales teams to ensure customer accounts are managed within agreed framework and according to set credit terms
11. Manage and supervise an experienced Credit controller
12. Manage data transfer and implementation of new system from Sage to Odoo, ensuring the needs of Credit Control functions are met, undertake user acceptance testing and being responsible for the system for the department
About you:
13. At least 3+ years credit control experience, working in a similar or senior role
14. Enjoys having responsibility for the whole credit control function, making the right decisions and always looking for improvements
15. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive approach to problem solving
16. Good understanding of financial statements of customers and use of credit safe information to make the right decisions
17. Strong influencing and negotiation skills and ability to handle difficult customers or situations effectively
18. Good customer service skills internally and externally
19. Able to work through problems alone, takes responsibility and prioritises workload to meet deadlines
20. Able to adopt a ‘can do’ attitude and use own initiative to get the job done
21. Works well under pressure with good attention to detail
22. Good management and coaching skills to optimise performance and bring out the best in a person
23. Experience with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and Teams
