Key duties include:
* Contributing to discussions around setting the direction for the service including foreseeing risks and opportunities.
* Linking in with regional & national colleagues via networks to benchmark best practice, build professional networks and bring practice back to the service to contribute to service planning within the specialist area.
* Reviewing and interpreting research evidence relevant to specialist area and contributing to discussions on how to implement findings to the benefit of the service in line with service priorities.
* Supporting the Professional Leads and Service Clinical Manager in the development and implementation of an appropriate training programme for members of the team across the locality, using information from appraisals and personal development plans.
* Taking a role in the local implementation and monitoring of clinical supervision/ practice support systems in line with relevant policies and procedures.
* Assisting the Service Clinical Manager and Professional Leads in the recruitment, selection, and induction of staff, as required.
Participating in the development of clinical protocols for use within the Service.
