Logistics Coordinator required to join an industry leading door manufacturer located in Kent. They are looking for an individual with a manufacturing background and experience in Import / Export Customs Documentation/Processes.
Logistics Coordinator Position Remuneration
1. Salary of £32,000 - 40,000 (depending on experience)
2. Discretionary Bonus (monthly performance)
3. 20 days Holiday entitlement + Bank Holidays (could possibly increase holiday entitlement to 25 days as part of the pay negotiation depending on what's more important to the candidate)
4. Hours of work 7am - 4pm OR 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday with 1 hour lunch
5. Lunch provided with a fully provided canteen (food, drink etc)
6. On-site parking
Logistics Coordinator Position Overview
7. Plan and coordinate logistics operations liaising with Customers, internal Stakeholders, Suppliers, Logistic providers and Transportation Companies
8. Manage and co-ordinate logistics including arranging transport, storage, delivery and arrange administration between Suppliers and Customers
9. Liaise with our internal Project Managers to ensure that Logistics arrangements meet their requirements and expectations
10. Raise Purchase Orders and allocate these to the correct nominal codes as instructed by the Accounts department
11. Ensure that all reports and Smart-sheets are updated with accurate information at all times
12. Respond to both internal and external Customers in a timely manner via telephone and email
13. Ensure that correct documentation is provided for Export and Custom agencies including import certifications and duty.
14. Work closely with the Warehouse Team to ensure that orders are complete and ready for shipment
15. Plan and track shipments of final product according to customer requirements
16. Assist in the selection of carriers/suppliers and keep all appropriate documentation and service level agreements
17. Monitor carrier performance and handle performance issues and concerns within capability. Raise any concerns with Senior Management.
18. Ensure carrier compliance with Company policies and procedures for product transit and delivery
19. Ensure compliance with import/export regulations/customs regulations and legal and health and safety requirements

21. Experience in Import / Export Customs Documentation/Processes (particularly North America; Australia, New Zealand, China)
22. There is UK internal shipments via a mix of 3rd party providers / DPD etc
23. Attention to detail very important
24. Comms between Logistics and Project Managers very important
