Key details Location: Jamaica Street, Edinburgh Department: Lettings Duration: Temporary, fixed-term contract from mid-June 2025 until early September 2025 Hours of work: 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 5:30 About the role We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team for the Summer. You will provide support to our rapidly growing teams, who deal with the booking and management of a portfolio of properties available for short-term let throughout the year and Edinburgh Festival and a large portfolio of long-let properties. Working closely with the Short Lets Manager & Lettings Associate Director you will provide support by undertaking a multitude of different tasks which will vary on a day-to-day basis. This role will provide an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience, collaborate with property professionals and a chance to develop skills that will be valuable for your future career. Key responsibilities Within our Short Lets Team: Pre tenancy move in checks ensuring the property is set up for a guest move in Making up welcome packs for guests Delivery of items to the properties as needed Answering the telephone Arranging key cutting & assigning keys to guests Meeting owners Ad hoc property/tenant visits Providing reactive support Within our Edinburgh Lettings Team: Assisting with viewings Answering telephone calls and booking viewing appointments Delivery of items to the properties as needed Assigning keys to tenants and contractors Providing administrative support to the wider lettings team with a variety of tasks Key requirements It is essential that candidates hold a full clean driving licence Complete administration and processes thoroughly and methodically Be a team player and can build good working relationships with other teams Good geographical knowledge of Edinburgh Be confident using IT applications Can multi-task and thrive in a close team environment Have a flexible approach to work and show initiative Competencies Customer focused Communication Collaboration Positive mindset Planning and organising Problem solving About us When you join Rettie you’ll discover the difference you can make.
