What you'll do
* Assist in processing payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
* Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, taxes, benefits, and deductions.
* Verify timesheets, attendance records, and other relevant documents before payroll submission.
* Ensure adherence to cut off dates as per contract with the payroll system
* Prepare monthly reconciliation between the last 2 payment periods
* Preparing and distributing payroll reports to management, including holiday and lieu report, overtime etc
What you'll bring
Essential skills and experiences
* An understanding of UK payroll legislation, including tax, NI, pensions, and statutory payments.
* Understanding of hotel operations and employee scheduling practices.
* Knowledge of payroll software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
* Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
* Excellent organizational and communication skills.
* Capable of working with minimum supervision
* Ensure all data is complete and accurate and supplied in the agreed payroll system format.
Preferred skills and experiences
* Previous experience as a Payroll Assistant or similar role in a hospitality setting is preferred.
* Able to provide support to other sections of the accounts team as and when required
* Ability to administer and manage the payroll system; to report and act on any systems malfunctions to the relevant internal and external IT support teams.
