Job Opportunity: Clinical Psychologist - Maternal Mental Health Service
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated Clinical Psychologist to join the Lotus Service (Maternal Mental Health Service) covering South Staffordshire and Surrounds. This is a 22.5 per week, 12 months fixed term post.
The Maternal Mental Health Service will provide specialist, multidisciplinary assessment, consultation, advice, signposting and targeted treatment for women with mental health needs associated with loss and trauma occurring in the maternity and neonatal context. You will work closely with the Maternity services and other supporting organisations.

You will have a genuine interest in Perinatal Mental Health and in shaping and developing this new service. We would like the successful candidate to start as soon as possible.
You will be part of a friendly and supportive group of Perinatal Psychologists that work across MPFT Perinatal Service. Professional support will be provided within MPFT Perinatal and from the Children and Families Care Group.

The post holder will be:
1. Responsible for the autonomous provision of a highly specialist psychological service for clients referred to the Maternal Mental Health Service, across South Staffordshire.
2. Establishing effective care pathways for perinatal loss (particularly stillbirth and neonatal death) and for birth trauma and fear of childbirth (tokophobia) working with acute stakeholders.
3. Providing clinical supervision to psychologists in training, assistant psychologists and junior colleagues as required.
4. Providing clinical supervision and support for the clinical work of other professions as required.
5. Carries a personal caseload and provides expert psychological services to clients, and to other agencies and professions, and clinical leadership in respect of psychological aspects of service planning, co-ordination, and management as agreed with the Team Manager for Maternal Mental Health Service.
6. Provide specialist teaching and training in Maternal Mental Health, across services.
7. Link in with the Professional Lead for Practitioner Psychologists.
8. Be a key player in the local Maternal Mental Health Steering Group and work with partners and stakeholders to establish pathways across the Local Maternity System (LMS).
