Pub Manager
Location: Erdington
Salary: 28,000 to 31,000 per year / Amazing benefits / Incentives
We are looking for an experienced Pub Manager responsible for the daily operations, management, and success of a pub/bar. You will oversee staff, ensure customer satisfaction, and maintain the pub's profitability. Key duties include managing staff, ensuring smooth operations, and adhering to regulations like licensing and health & safety.
Key Responsibilities of a Pub Manager:
1. Staff Management: Recruiting, training, scheduling, and managing staff, including bartenders, servers, and other personnel.
2. Customer Service: Ensuring a positive customer experience, addressing complaints, and maintaining high standards of service.
3. Operational Management: Overseeing daily operations, including food and beverage preparation, stock management, and maintaining the pub's cleanliness and safety.
4. Financial Management: Managing budgets, increasing profits, and controlling cash flow.
5. Legal Compliance: Understanding and adhering to licensing regulations, health and safety rules, and other legal requirements.
6. Marketing and Sales: Promoting the pub and its offerings to attract and retain customers.
7. Problem Solving: Addressing customer issues, managing conflicts, and finding solutions to operational challenges.
8. Leadership: Inspiring and motivating staff, providing guidance, and fostering a positive work environment.
Additional Skills and Qualifications:
1. Leadership and Management Skills: Effective communication, motivation, and delegation are crucial for managing a team.
2. Customer Service Skills: Ability to interact with customers, address their needs, and handle complaints professionally.
3. Business Acumen: Understanding of financial management, marketing, and sales principles is important for driving profitability.
4. Hospitality Experience: At least 3/4 years prior experience in the hospitality industry, particularly in bars or pubs, is highly valued.
