Join Centrica's IT Security Team as Threat & Vulnerability Analyst!
Centrica is seeking a motivated Threat & Vulnerability Analyst to join our Cyber Defence team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and addressing security threats and vulnerabilities using a variety of security tools. Location: Hybrid (occasional travel to the office)
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct vulnerability assessments and threat analyses using security tools and threat intelligence.
* Monitor and respond to emerging threat intelligence and vulnerabilities, collaborating with stakeholders and business units across Centrica.
* Utilize Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools to enhance endpoint protection.
* Manage and triage findings from various security tools.
* Document vulnerabilities, remediation efforts, and manage security incidents.
* Analyze security data and provide insights to wider teams, including cloud environments (AWS/Azure/Infrastructure/External Attack Surface Management).
* Stay updated on industry trends and attacker techniques.
* Collaborate with our threat-informed defence functions to ensure timely remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience in cybersecurity, focusing on threat and vulnerability management.
* Relevant cybersecurity certifications preferred and a strong understanding of security frameworks and standards.
* Experience with Penetration testing
* Hands-on experience with security tools, including but not limited to vulnerability management tools, EDR, NDR, SIEM, Qualys etc
* Proactive mindset and attention to detail.
* Strong analytical and communication skills.
* Strong team player.
* Enthusiastic
Desirable Attributes:
* Experience with additional security tools.
* Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
* Knowledge of cloud security principles (AWS, Azure).
