We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Senior Audiologist to join our small, friendly family team.
This is an extremely exciting time as we are opening up a new hearing clinic in Formby and we have been able to ensure the best equipment is available to meet the needs of our patients.

Tasks
AUDIOLOGIST
General:
In accordance with Hypatia Specialist Clinic procedures:
1. To develop and maintain good communication with all levels of management and build partnerships with the wider organisations in the promotion of the business.
2. Further develop and grow the services.
3. To support research and audit projects within the department including support of other audiology and non-audiology staff in the performance of audits.
4. To maintain appropriate records of all clinical
5. To maintain appropriate Continuing Professional Development as required under registration to the Health and Care Professions Council.
6. Any other duties as may be determined from time to time, to meet clinical needs and / or general service provision.
For the right candidate, there are also career pathways to move into paediatrics, vestibular care, equipment development and training and education for other Audiologists/ Clinical Scientists.
We are looking for someone exceptional with a patient-centred care approach, warm and friendly with the ability to develop excellent patient rapport.
Candidates will be expected to work alone some of the time and so their experience must reflect this.
Requirements
AUDIOLOGIST
Audiologist Job Description:
Training can be provided for reasonable gaps in knowledge.
Diagnostics:
1. Provision of specialist audiological diagnostic testing, including but not exclusively;
Pure tone audiometry, speech audiometry, acoustic reflex testing tympanometry, tinnitus pitch match and masking, APD diagnostics, high- frequency audiometry, paediatric audiometry, and medico-legal audiometry.
2. Provide audiological support and diagnostic services to ENT clinics.
Musicians:
1. To perform hearing assessments and advice to musicians under the
MHHS
(Musicians’ Hearing Health Scheme) on hearing protection on-site and off- site
Rehabilitation / Ear care:
1. To diagnose, fit, verify and manage hearing impairment across a broad range of patients; recommending appropriate hearing aids from all major manufacturers.
2. The assessment, fitting and fine-tuning of the Lyric hearing aid
(additional training will be provided).
3. Taking appropriate aural impressions in accordance with the British
Society of Audiology recommended procedures for hearing aids and hearing protection including in-ear monitors.
4. To facilitate digital hearing therapy and auditory training programmes.
5. Provision of clinical ear care services, including wax removal using techniques including instrumentation, irrigation, and micro-suction
(additional training will be provided).
6. To provide Auditory Training Programmes to patients with APD (training provided).

Requirements:
MSc / BSc in audiology with clinical and commercial dispensing experience
Competency and experience in micro suction (preferred but not essential)
HCPC registration is a must!
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: Up to £41,000.00 per year
