* Role Overview:
* A HHSRS assessor position is available at a social housing organisation in North London.
* The ideal candidate will hold an accredited HHSRS assessor qualification and be proficient in evaluating housing conditions to ensure they comply with health and safety standards.

As a HHSRS assessor, you will carry out detailed inspections of residential properties, assessing compliance with health and safety standards and identifying potential hazards.
* Inspect residential properties to assess compliance with HHSRS and identify potential hazards.
* Evaluate hazards using the HHSRS risk assessment framework and provide comprehensive reports for each property.
* Identify and evaluate various hazards, including damp, mould, overcrowding, fire safety, structural defects, electrical safety, and health-related issues.
* Document findings clearly, recording evidence of hazards observed during assessments, including photographs, measurements, and descriptions.
* Advise landlords, property owners, or local authorities on appropriate actions to mitigate or remove identified hazards.
* Provide guidance on compliance with relevant health and safety regulations, standards, and legal requirements.
* Prepare detailed reports outlining the findings of HHSRS assessments, hazard ratings, and recommendations for improvements or remedial actions.
Required Skills and Experience
* HNC Building studies or equivalent relevant experience coupled with accredited HHSRS assessor qualification.
* Sound knowledge of health and safety, building regulations, disabled access, fire, and CDM legislation.
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and assess potential hazards.
* Ability to interpret complex regulations and guidelines and apply them to practical situations.
* Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
* Ability to work independently, manage workloads effectively, and meet deadlines.
* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues to tenants, property owners, and colleagues.
