Main Duties & Responsibilities
As the Production Manager Composites, you will report directly to the Production Director. Your role will be to manage the team, ensuring production targets are achieved. The objective is to maintain efficient operations by planning, organising, and directing daily activities to exceed expectations. You will possess thorough knowledge of Lamination & Infusion processes for both small and major mould parts and be capable of performing these skills at the highest standard.
Responsibilities
* Ensure all team members remain fully productive throughout the day.
* Recognise and balance the team's skills to optimise performance.
* Assess the team's overall capacity to complete assigned tasks on time, adjusting resource requirements as needed to meet deadlines.
* Assist in developing team members to enhance their skill set further.
* Identify and rectify any shortfalls in production requirements.
* Ensure regular planning and reporting for the pre-production area, with clear schedules in place to meet demands.
* Adhere to tracking hours, schedule milestones, and financial budgets, ensuring tasks are performed efficiently.
* Ensure that the M1 system accurately reflects team performance against budget and is properly maintained.
* Ensure the team is well-resourced and that recruitment activities are prioritised to meet production schedules.
* Ensure the facility is regularly maintained and that machinery is serviced to achieve production objectives.
* Adhere to company processes and policies, and ensure the team does the same.
* Always work in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and follow all company procedures and guidelines to ensure site safety at all times.
Requirements
* Proven managerial experience, including strong team-building, decision-making, and people management skills.
* Computer literate.
* Ability to plan, organise, direct, and manage day-to-day operations to exceed customer expectations.
* Responsible for production output, product quality (RFT), and delivering products on time.
* Ability to identify KPIs.
* Responsible for running and overseeing the site (currently Ponsharden).
* Report to the Production Director regarding pre-production assembly parts schedule, budgets, and quality.
* Effectively allocate resources and fully utilise assets to achieve optimal results, driving productivity without compromising quality.
* Maintain and improve quality standards.
* Ensure the welfare and safety of employees under your control, maintaining a clean, tidy, and hazard-free site.
* Serve as the Line Manager through whom all HR issues within the team are addressed.
* Highlight resource requirements to the Production Director and assist with recruitment.
* Maintain a presence on the shop floor to monitor shift activity and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
* Line Manager to Team Leaders and workshop employees.
* Responsible for adhering to manufacturing and facility budgets and targets.

Benefits:
* 4-day working week (Mon-Thurs 7-5.30pm).
* 5.6 weeks holiday (including bank holidays) which rises after 3, 5, and 10 years service (up to a maximum of 1 extra week after 10 years service).
