COMPLIANCE OFFICER - NEWCASTLE
A full service law firm in Newcastle is looking to recruit a Compliance Officer to join its business support team.
You will be responsible for:
1. Executing comprehensive due diligence for clients, adhering to AML and ID guidelines, policies, and procedures.
2. Ensuring all identification requirements are met, maintaining strict compliance with both internal and external protocols.
3. Acting as a key player in the firm, enhancing client service and operational efficiencies.
4. Monitoring onboarding progress proactively, liaising with the Head of Risk and Compliance on any client ID issues.
5. Providing progress updates to partners, solicitors, and support teams.
6. Chasing clients proactively to expedite matters.
7. Opening and managing all firm files, ensuring accurate data entry into the practice management system.
8. Maintaining confidentiality and upholding the firm's policies and procedures, including health and safety, IT security, and equality.
9. Managing ongoing monitoring alerts for clients, reporting any concerns to the Head of Risk and Compliance.
The ideal candidate will have:
1. Experience in a regulated environment, preferably within the legal sector.
2. Strong communication skills and confidence in using a case management system.
3. Excellent research and analytical abilities.
4. Driven to meet deadlines and work efficiently under pressure.
