What is the job role?
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to join our Childrens Disabilities team on a permanent basis.
You will be responsible for leading plans for children with complex needs and disabilities. Children and families will be allocated by a team manager which may include complex case assessments and supervision, including planned intensive interventions of looked after children, parents, carers, child protection, and children in need.
You will be responsible for the implementation, monitoring, and reviewing of plans within multi-agency meetings relating to the assessed complex needs of children, young people, and their families. Developing effective working partnerships is key with those within their families, carers, and significant others in the light of the child/young person.
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an ambitious, professional, conscientious social worker to join our team.
You will need to have worked with children and young people with complex needs and disabilities, be knowledgeable about the challenges experienced by families as a whole and be skilled in completing assessments and developing outcomes focussed and child-friendly plans.
