Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a Residential Child Care Nights Worker within a children’s home to work full time based in Lambeth, London.
The salary for this permanent Residential Support Night Worker job is up to £29,000 per annum.
Main duties:
* Complete and/or coordinate all assessments with young people: Risk Assessments; Safety Plans; LA and Health Assessments; My Mind Outcomes Star Assessment and Action Planning.
* Plan, prioritise and deliver support sessions each week - ensuring the frequency and focus of sessions meet the needs of the young person, reflect the packages commissioned by LAs, and take place as planned.
* Complete weekly progress reports setting out plans and priorities agreed, sessions delivered, key outcomes, actions to be taken, other relevant contacts, and observations.
* Complete reports on incidents and accidents, setting out: effective action taken and planned; actions for the professional network; and past trends.
* Seek advice/guidance when appropriate, and provide relevant feedback and debriefing opportunities to management, team members, and key professionals.
* Strive to gain positive and empowering relationships with all young residents at the home, offering natural rapport, respect, genuine empathy, curiosity, and positive regard.
* Ensure that all young people are enabled to provide feedback about the support and services they receive at the home.
* Regularly consult young people, seeking their feedback about the quality of care and support at the home.
* Help each young person to understand how their privacy will be respected and the circumstances when it may have to be limited.
* Help each young person prepare for any review of their plans and to make their views, wishes, and feelings known for the purposes of that review.
Requirements of this job:
* Desirable to have the 4 Children, Young Person and Family Practitioner (or equivalent) qualification or willingness to complete.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* An understanding of the needs of looked after young people.
* Knowledge of relevant regulations, legislation, and statutory guidance.
* An understanding of intervention strategies.
