Essential Criteria
1. Qualifications / Professional Registration / Membership
o Level 3 QCF Health and Social Care or equivalent, or ability to complete within 2 years of commencement in post.
o English and Maths Functional Skills at level 1/or equivalent.
2. Experience
o Experience of working in a direct support capacity with vulnerable adults.
o Experience of providing high standards of customer care.
o Experience working as part of a team and on own initiative.
3. Skills, Knowledge, Ability (including ability to develop knowledge, skill or experience)
o Basic IT skills.
o Knowledge and understanding of health and safety at work and the ability to carry out appropriate health and safety checks (e.g., legionella testing, fire alarm tests).
o Understanding of the importance of choice, control, rights, and empowerment of customers.
o Understanding of and ability to implement requirements of the safeguarding policy.
o The ability to assess, coordinate and provide personal or practical interventions to a range of customers.
o The ability to develop and work within an agreed care and support plan to support customers effectively.
o Ability to provide personal care and support to meet a range of social and health needs including the support of behaviours of concern.
o An ability to carry out intimate tasks without supervision.
o Ability to form and maintain effective working relationships with individuals, their families, colleagues, and partner organisations.
o Ability to liaise with people at all levels including senior management and multi-disciplinary team professionals.
o Ability to mentor or support colleagues, apprentices, and those on placement.
o Effective written and verbal communication.
o Ability to work flexibly and use own initiative.

Pay: £25,584.00-£27,269.00 per year
