Role Purpose The Role Purpose - to support the installation teams with; installations, planned and re-active fault diagnoses, basic commissioning, panel modification and technical queries at site level. Communicating with various departments within the business and liaising with customers. The role gives varied exposure to different areas of the water industry, offering a challenging environment on a day to day basis. The role will include working across Welsh Water sites, sewage treatment plants, reservoirs, pumping stations etc. with travel expected as part of the role. At Bridges we are more than Engineers. Our projects range in value from £5k to £15m, taking the role of Principal Contractor and Principal Designer on various schemes, and supporting our valued Tier 1 contractor clients in a subcontractor and off-site manufacturing capacity. The Role Contracted to 40hrs per week Monday to Friday. Paid an hourly rate, with all overtime paid. All travel time will be paid door-to-door on top of contracted / overtime hours. Company van provided All power tools and testing instruments are provided Assist with and carry out all types of low-voltage electrical work NICEIC Testing Fault finding/diagnostics and panel/circuit modifications without drawings and support. Commissioning of various equipment relevant to the water industry Navigate HMI/SCADA systems Prepare RAMS, ensuring safe working conditions. Requirements Required Experience working in an industrial environment ECS card CCNSG Safety Passport Fitness to work medical Reasonable understanding of mechanical systems. Able to work on own initiative and ability to give and take instruction Inspection and testing certificate. Desirable EUSR Experience working in the water industry Knowledge of: Ethernet & industrial networks (ie Profibus, devicenet, etc) VSD, soft start, star/delta, DOL starters PLC & HMI/SCADA (programming not required).
