Are you a confident and professional people person with a passion for creating positive first impressions? We’re looking for a receptionist to join our friendly and dynamic team. As the first point of contact for clients, visitors and colleagues, you’ll play a key role in delivering a welcoming, seamless, and professional experience.
About the Role:
This is more than just answering phones and greeting guests – you'll be the central hub of our office environment, helping everything run smoothly. From coordinating meeting rooms and managing office supplies to supporting internal operations and onboarding new staff, no two days are the same. This role is part time 08:45 - 1:45 or 11:30 - 17:30 Monday to Friday based at our new head office, Newham House.
Key Responsibilities
* Be the warm, professional welcome for all clients, visitors, and colleagues
* Manage the reception area and meeting rooms – tidy, presentable, and ready to impress
* Handle incoming calls and direct enquiries to the right people
* Organise meeting room bookings and assist with refreshments
* Carry out essential admin duties: mail sorting, filing, photocopying, and stock replenishment
* Coordinate office maintenance and liaise with service providers
* Support new staff inductions and ensure a smooth welcoming onboarding experience
* Provide cover at other local office sites as and when needed
* Always maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
* Previous experience in a receptionist or front of house role
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused attitude
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Highly organised, proactive, and detail oriented
* GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths
Desirable:
* Experience in a professional or legal services environment
* Familiarity with case management systems
* Level 3 qualification in Business Admin or Customer Service
