Role Overview
The Transport Supervisor will be responsible for managing drivers and vehicles in line with company policies and procedures, assisting the Operations Manager in their duties, and taking part in the planning of operations.
This role involves a range of responsibilities, including ensuring the roadworthiness of vehicles, debriefing and managing driver hours, and managing driver behavior and performance.
Main Responsibilities:
* Ensuring the roadworthiness of vehicles and taking necessary actions in case of unforeseen events
* Debriefing and managing driver hours
* Managing driver behavior and performance, ensuring any necessary actions are taken in line with company policies and procedures
* Conducting regular meetings with drivers
* Supporting drivers and ensuring their well-being
Requirements:
* Experience in driver and vehicle support and/or management
* A good understanding of transport and driver legislation
* Excellent attention to detail
* Proficiency in computer skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A self-motivated and proactive approach
* Ability to meet deadlines and achieve targets
* Ability to work independently

Salary and Benefits:
£27,000 - £30,000 per annum (DOE), Monday to Friday office hours, one week per month of on-call duties, private health care, employee discounts, opportunities for growth and development, and future qualifications opportunities.
