We are seeking a dedicated Phonics-Trained Teaching Assistant to join our school. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with expertise in phonics and a desire to support pupils in their reading and writing development. Key Responsibilities: Deliver targeted phonics sessions to individuals and small groups of pupils, helping them develop their early reading and writing skills. Work closely with class teachers to support phonics-based learning in the classroom. Monitor and track pupils' progress in phonics, providing feedback to teachers and adjusting support as necessary. Help create a stimulating and engaging learning environment that encourages literacy development. Support pupils with other learning activities, as required, to ensure their overall academic and personal growth. Requirements: Experience delivering phonics interventions (knowledge of a specific phonics programme such as Letters and Sounds, Read Write Inc., or Jolly Phonics is highly desirable). A patient and supportive attitude, with the ability to engage young learners. Strong communication and teamwork skills, working collaboratively with teachers and support staff. Relevant qualifications in childcare or education (Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification preferred). A passion for early literacy and helping children succeed in their learning. Why Join Us?
