Credit Manager
Lead a credit control team in its daily responsibilities and support the Head of Credit in team development and performance.
This role is hybrid, requiring travel to our Travis Perkins head office in Northampton at least twice a week.
Principal Accountabilities
1. Lead the team to achieve business KPIs, productivity, and quality targets, fostering a high-performance culture.
2. Assess all credit requests and review credit limits up to £500,000.
3. Collaborate with senior stakeholders within the TP group to ensure understanding and buy-in for actions taken by Credit Services, especially on escalated issues.
4. Work with TP Merchanting to meet SLA’s and define best practices with key stakeholders.
5. Drive continuous performance improvement through coaching, skills development, and personal development plans.
6. Implement robust performance management practices using MI and reporting tools.
7. Review workloads regularly to optimize efficiency.
8. Visit customers and branches to resolve high-value queries, disputes, and payment delays.
Qualifications and Skills
* Educated to O’ Level/GCSE standard.
* Experience as a Credit Control Team Leader or Supervisor.
* Strong leadership, relationship-building, organizational skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
* Skills in cash collection, balance sheet knowledge, and computer literacy.
