GBS is seeking an Admissions Officer to join our dynamic Admissions team. This key role supports the growth of GBS and offers an opportunity to be part of our ambitious, fast-paced environment.
The Admissions Office plays a vital role in student recruitment, ensuring a fair and transparent admissions process that provides access for capable students.
Reporting to the regional Admissions Manager, we seek an organized individual to maintain compliance with regulatory and internal policies. The role requires flexibility, ability to work in a fast-paced setting, and willingness to work primarily on Saturdays, with additional weekday shifts to total 40 hours per month.
Initially, training will require weekday availability.
Schedule:
* Saturdays: 3 or 4 per month, 8-hour shifts
* Weekdays: 1 or 2 additional 8-hour shifts, scheduled in advance

Main Responsibilities:
* Support the admissions team to provide effective services.
* Contribute to meeting recruitment targets.
* Manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
* Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance.
* Input and correct applicant data, prepare statistical reports.
* Advise applicants on courses and handle queries.
* Provide first-line support and guidance on admissions policies.
* Conduct initial application checks.
* Monitor applicant responses and update records.
* Invigilate assessments and support interview processes.
* Book interviews via phone, email, SMS.
* Assist with open days as needed.
Requirements:
* Experience dealing with demanding individuals and problem resolution.
* Administrative self-sufficiency and initiative.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Ability to build professional relationships.
* Adaptability to change and new challenges.
* Proactive, motivated, approachable.
* Ability to work under pressure and flexible hours.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Team player with integrity and confidentiality.
* Degree or relevant experience.
* Understanding of the student lifecycle and admissions processes.
* Experience in an admissions or related team.
* Experience with student management systems (e.g., SITS, Salesforce).
* Knowledge of UKVI Sponsoring System & Student Route regulations.
* Creative problem-solving skills.
* Knowledge of two or more languages is advantageous.
