The Project Manager role exists to provide management and construction expertise to support Project Delivery (ie Safety, Commercial, Programme, People and Quality)
To provide the overall leadership of the construction team in delivering the scope of work within a major work package or project to the defined cost, time and quality and contractual requirements.
To implement Kilnbridge Values, Safety Management Systems and personally set the standard of zero tolerance of unsafe practices and occurrences to ensure everyone goes home safely.
To implement Kilnbridge quality and environmental management systems.
To ensure that all projects deliver the contracted engineering requirements using the highest levels of technical expertise and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
· To be the Company Representative across the multiple interfaces within the Project.
· To provide a single point of contact for the client in relation to project activities and represent the
Company’s interests with the client.
· Familiarise him/herself with the project scope document, the key contract requirements, the available
project documents and also the contact details of the Client and any other relevant team members.
· To ensure the project team, roles, skills and behaviour are aligned with the Company’s objectives and
project requirements.
· To establish the team structure, tools and processes that support delivery.
· To ensure that the client project requirements are understood and communicated to all the members of the team.
· Prepare Construction Programme and issue to Project Team for review prior to submittal to Client.
· Co-creation and team sign off of safe method of working and systems especially those arising from new developments to identify hazards and unsafe situations.
Co-Production of written method statements and site safety rules and on the arrangements to bring these to the attention of the workforce.
· Oversee job specific Risk Assessment and Method Statements
· Manage Labour force when no Site Supervisor/Construction Manager is present · To approve or request the training required for their project team to meet company standards in full, including statutory, H&S and Environment requirements.
· To actively promote and trial innovation in our methodology, processes and products.
· To deliver the project within the authorised budget, optimising cost and quality parameters.
· To ensure production controls are in place for monitoring, reporting, benchmarking works and improving performance.
· To communicate company policies, Quality, H&S and Environmental, to all members of the project teams. ·
To co-produce the Project Quality Plan and Construction Phase Plan, and implement its arragements.
· To co-produce the Site Environmental Management Plan (SEMP) and implement its arragements. Also, assess the project environmental impacts and identify control measures. .
· To record and HSE accident and incident as per the Notify platform.
· To ensure Occupational Health assessments are completed for all members of the project team including operatives and ensure that they receive Occupational Health Surveillance in accordance with the results of their individual assessment.
· To provide regular feedback of production analysis to the Project /Operations Director.
· To create environment for exceptional team performance. · To optimise resource utilisation and eliminate waste wherever possible.
· To ensure compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS). · To remain current and knowledgeable in the Kilnbridge IMS and QMS.
· Implement and arrange required training for any Intranet/internet-based document management systems.
· Manage the completion of the Information Required Schedule. · Co-ordinate Temporary Works Requirements.
· Resource Project and review Labour Budget with Project Director and Commercial Manager.
· Communicate Labour resource requirements on a regular basis with the Labour Manager.
· Raise requisitions in a timely fashion for any resources required i.e. plant consumables, fabrication, skips, sub-contract labour, office equipment etc.
· The Project Manager from time to time as directed by their line manager may be required to assist with the preparation of tender submissions.
· Attend internal tender handover meetings
· Attend Client/Main Contractor Meetings including, Health & Safety, Progress Meetings and Co-ordination Meetings
· Review project progress daily and record on a weekly basis.
· Complete Look Ahead Programmes for submittal to Head Office and Client as required.
· Raise requisitions in a timely fashion for Sub-Contractors, Designers, Engineering (temporary or permanent), major orders etc so as to meet project programme.
· Ensure that the Construction Manager/Supervisor, Senior Engineer/Site Engineer are fully aware of all specifications, drawings and relevant contract requirements
· Ensure Scope of Works is being reviewed regularly against works carried out and make Project Director and Commercial Manager / Quantity Surveyor aware of any variations as soon as practicable.
· Ensure all information required by the Client/Main Contractor is issued in a timely fashion for all required handovers.
· Ensure all submittals conform to the Client/Main Contractor’s document protocols. When none are available, revert back to KCSL standard forms
· Liaise with Design Engineers/Sub-Contractors on a regular basis to ensure the product/service supplied by the relevant party will be to KCSL and Project requirements and will be received on time.
Ensure that the company appraisal process is followed, and all appraisals are carried out within the specified timeframe
· Maintain transparent communication by conducting regular individual meetings with team members to monitor individual performance against set objectives and provide effective performance feedback.
· Coach, mentor, and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding in line with the company onboarding programme and providing career development planning and opportunities.
· Collaborate with Human Resources staff to recruit, interview, select, hire, and employ an appropriate number of employees, when required.
· Provide oversight and direction to team members in accordance with the organisation's policies and procedures. · Maintain workforce planning schedules, including effective management of absences, sickness, holidays, and training requirements.
Having a professional membership is desirable, but leadership and project experience is equally valid.
· Relevant significant experience in a Project Manager role within a construction business is essential,
with proven experience of high value construction projects.
