Support Worker/ Complex Care Worker
Salary: £13 - £14 per hour
Location: Lancashire OL13
Work hours: Part time, full time
3 full time positions available.
Shift pattern:
* Night Shifts 10pm - 7am
Please note that when shadowing, your shift pattern may vary due to the needs of the client. Shadow shifts will take place during day time hours.
Candidates must be flexible to work nights.
Are you an experienced and compassionate Support Worker with a minimum of 6-months UK based healthcare experience working in the field of Spinal Injuries? Are you a kind, empathetic person who wishes to support an individual with independence? Do you have experience working with acquired brain injury, challenging behaviour, and experience working within care? Can you work efficiently and effectively within the complex care industry?

About the role
We are recruiting on behalf of Yorkshire Community Healthcare who are looking for an experienced Support Worker with a compassionate and caring nature, ideally with experience in working in the field of Spinal Injury; however, full training and support will be provided to the right person. The ideal candidate will be positive, outgoing, and enjoy social interactions and activities.

The client requires 24/7 care with 2-1 support throughout the year. Successful candidates will be supporting the client in day-to-day activities to ensure his safety and well-being. The client speaks limited English, so use of a translator app may be required to communicate with the client effectively.
What you'll be doing:
* Ensuring the client is safe during the night
* Supporting him in the community if required.
* Documenting all important information
* Supporting the client to remain safe in the community and at home
Requirements:
* Right to work in the UK (unfortunately at this time we cannot support with sponsorship)
* Ability to attend a face-to-face interview in Leeds City Centre
* A minimum of 6-months UK based health or social care experience is essential
* Compassionate and patient nature with excellent communication skills
* Enthusiastic and outgoing personality to connect with the client and create a positive atmosphere
* Attend mandatory training in Leeds, West Yorkshire when required.
* Note: All successful applicants will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
