Hire Desk Plant Coordinator – Civils & Groundworks Contractor
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Hire Desk Plant Coordinator to join our team in Knowsley. As part of a leading Civils & Groundworks Contractor, you will play a key role in managing the hire and movement of plant, equipment, and materials to ensure smooth site operations.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Coordinate the hire, off-hire, and logistics of plant and equipment.
✅ Liaise with site teams, suppliers, and transport companies to ensure timely delivery and collection.
✅ Maintain accurate records of plant usage and hire agreements.
✅ Negotiate hire rates and agreements to achieve cost efficiencies.
✅ Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company procedures.
✅ Assist with general administration and support for the plant department.
Requirements:
✔️ Previous experience in a hire desk, plant coordination, or logistics role within construction or groundworks.
✔️ Strong organisational and communication skills.
✔️ Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
✔️ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hire management software (desirable).
✔️ A proactive, problem-solving attitude.
