A privately owned housebuilder based in Hertfordshire is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their dynamic finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented individual looking to grow within a small, supportive team. While experience within the construction industry is desirable, it is not essential. The role requires some exposure to working in accounts, and career progression is available for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities: Assisting with day-to-day accounting functions Processing invoices and managing accounts payable and receivable Reconciling accounts and bank statements Supporting month-end and year-end processes Assisting with financial reporting and budgeting tasks Providing general administrative support to the finance department Key Requirements: Previous experience working in accounts or finance (essential) Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a small team A proactive approach to tasks and problem-solving Knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel is a plus Desirable (but not essential): Experience in the construction industry This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further their career in finance, with opportunities for growth within the business.
