About the Company:
This ambitious, privately owned SME retailer has tripled in size over the last five years, continually adding new brands to its portfolio. Join a dynamic and innovative team headquartered in West London, where you’ll collaborate with the Financial Controller and other key stakeholders to support the company’s financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounts Payable Management (40% of role):
Process stock and non-stock invoices, matching POs to invoices.
Handle supplier queries and reconcile statements.
Manage staff expenses and credit card reconciliations.
2. Month-End Support:
Prepare accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
3. Reporting:
Produce weekly sales and margin reports for business distribution.
4. Ad Hoc Projects:
Assist in process improvements and enhance finance systems.
Collaborate with stakeholders across divisions.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1. Strong accounts payable expertise, including matching invoices to purchase orders.
2. Hands-on experience with month-end processes, such as accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
3. Familiarity with accounting software (experience with Xero is an advantage).
4. Knowledge of stock management or working in consumer-related industries is beneficial.
5. Ambition to take on additional responsibilities and grow with the business.
