About Us: Our High Peak site consists of a dedicated team of six staff and two classrooms, offering a supportive and inclusive environment for both primary and secondary pupils. We are committed to providing high-quality education, focusing on the individual needs of each pupil. As part of our team, you will contribute to creating an environment where students can excel, both in school and in off-site settings. The Role: As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work with pupils who require additional support, helping them navigate the curriculum and overcome barriers to learning. Your responsibilities will include: Primary Curriculum Support: Deliver targeted assistance to pupils in small groups or one-on-one, ensuring alignment with the primary curriculum. Working with Challenging Pupils: Demonstrate resilience and patience while supporting pupils with complex needs and behaviours, fostering a positive learning environment. Off-Site Support: Work with pupils in alternative locations, including homes, libraries, or cafes, adapting to their individual needs. Secondary Support: Provide occasional assistance to secondary pupils when required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability. Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a small, dedicated team, contributing to the overall success and cohesion of the site. Requirements:
* Experience as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school setting, with strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
* Proven ability to work with pupils who present challenging behaviours, with high levels of resilience and empathy.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building trust with pupils and their families.
* Flexibility to work in various locations, including pupils’ homes and community spaces.
* Willingness to occasionally support secondary pupils as needed.
* A proactive and team-oriented attitude, with the ability to adapt to diverse educational settings.
