Our client is looking for a proactive Conveyancing Assistant to join their busy legal firm to support a dynamic conveyancing team.
This is a part-time role, working 3 days per week.
You will be responsible for:
Providing general administrative support to the Conveyancer.
Communicating with clients, estate agents, and other third parties as needed.
Handling new business enquiries and providing quotes to prospective clients.
Opening new files and assisting with AML and KYC documentation requirements.
Compiling contract papers, requesting searches, and obtaining documents from HM Land Registry.
Drafting legal documents, search reports, and correspondence as directed by the Conveyancer.
Preparing files for completion, managing the exchange of contracts, and generating bills.
Assisting with post-completion tasks, including submitting SDLT returns and preparing AP1s.
What We Are Looking For:
Proven experience in a similar role such as Conveyancing Assistant, Legal Secretary, Legal Assistant, Conveyancing Paralegal, Conveyancing Administrator, Legal Property Clerk or Legal Executive.
Familiarity with conveyancing procedures and legal protocols.
Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office.
Experience in residential conveyancing (preferred)
Ability to manage administrative duties efficiently and accurately.
