Job Description
The key responsibilities of an Accounts Manager will include:
3. Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
4. Help with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit
5. Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements
6. Prepare, review, and analyse financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
7. Supervise, mentor, and develop staff members
8. Work closely with team members to assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasting
9. Implement and monitor internal controls
10. Perform ad hoc project-related duties as required
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Manager should have:
11. Previous experience in an all-round Accounts role with experience managing both AP and AR processes.
12. A strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting and legislation
13. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially with Excel
14. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
15. Excellent leadership abilities to oversee the accounting team
