MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
To provide successful delivery of the estimating function to include client/professional liaison and negotiation. To ensure competitiveness and maintain relationships with existing customers and develop new potential customers/business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Evaluate tender bid information and produce tender proposals which result in profitable sales.
2. Provide an estimating service within an appropriate time period and maintain good communication with the client throughout the tender process.
3. Price all works in line with current market conditions and maintain a current knowledge of the marketplace, rates and materials.
4. Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, sub-contractors and suppliers.
5. Co-ordinate detailed enquiries/assessment of quotations.
6. Attend review meetings as and when required.
7. Prepare pricing schedules/bill of quantities and prelims where required.
8. Assist in PQQ submissions when required.
9. Maintain good record keeping for reference points on subsequent related projects.
10. Manage conflicting priorities and maintain agreed timescales.
11. Follow-up to establish competition and their levels of submission for benchmarking and continuous improvement of service response and delivery.
12. Participate and support all Company initiatives with compliance of procedures and requirements for ISO9001, 14001 & 45001, FSC and Investors in People Standards.
13. Perform any other duties required for the effective operation of the post as deemed by Management.
Essential Criteria:
1. Relevant industry experience in a similar role.
2. Able to demonstrate previous experience working on commercial fit out projects.
3. Experience with Conquest or similar computerised system.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office.

1. HND/Degree in Building/Quantity Surveying
