Project/Contracts Engineer

SUMMARY:
A commercial astute person responsible for managing all aspects of the project/order, serving as the SPOC (Single Point of Contact) for clients, suppliers, and internal functions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Manage all aspects of the project/order, acting as the SPOC (Single Point of Contact) for clients, suppliers, and internal functions.
* Identify, plan and coordinate the resources needed to achieve project deliverables.
* Ensure the overall project budget is maintained and improved where possible.
* Ensure that all potential variations to orders/contracts are identified and agreed upon with the relevant stakeholders.
* Maintain the agreed project cash flow by ensuring that invoices are issued correctly and on time and milestone payments are achieved as per plan.
* Identify, evaluate, and implement plans to control and mitigate technical and commercial risks.
* Prepare and present progress reports to internal and external stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, risks, and issues.
* Lead the technical aspects of the Project, review the contract document and scope of work for work and coordinate the various disciplines for the timely submission of all deliverables, including documents, drawings, and datasheets, in compliance with the contract requirements.
* Apply technical and commercial knowledge to solve problems and optimise outcomes.
* Monitoring and expediting of suppliers, internal departments and their deliverables.
* Resolve or manage the resolution of technical issues with relevant parties (Client, Engineering, Suppliers)
* Handle customer comments and technical/commercial clarifications and interface with the client for technical or commercial issues until resolution.
* Participate in project meetings via teams or in person, both in the UK and overseas, KOM, Progress meetings, and close-out meetings (as needed).
* Organise & where required, attend inspections and testing with relevant stakeholders to ensure activities are carried out following project requirements and signed off.
* Prepare/Support project documentation such as Quality Plans, ITPs and sub-order schedules.
* Review documentation and certification.
* Contract review new purchase orders with the Commercial/Engineering/Operations team.
* Manage the creation and expediting of all purchase order materials for projects, including the coordination of logistical support efforts, transportation efforts, and import/export procedures.
* Log and process customer complaints to close out following company procedure. Raise, issue and track to suitable resolution NCRs as required on sub-suppliers. Record documentary evidence, resolve problems and close out NORs in the HSP QA system.
* Responsibility for QC compliance as required by company procedures and/or specific contract/order requirements; ensure QC inspections, standards, and certification are following customer PO specifications. Review of material certification packs when required. Incoming inspection of material when required. Inspection support at HSP suppliers.
* Travel based on the needs of our customers & suppliers. Travel will make up 10% of the role

Our Project/Contract Engineer should have:
* Degree or HND qualifications or equivalent experience
* Project management qualifications or significant experience
* Experience in a commercial environment, Commercially Astute
* Ability to operate and deliver effectively under pressurised situations
* Ability to react to change and ensure project activities are realigned following change
* Relevant work experience in project management or valve and/or actuation packages
* Relevant product knowledge of valves and /or actuation packages and industry experience
* Good working knowledge of MS Office, especially Outlook, Excel and Word
* Experience in management information and commercial systems
