Role Overview:
This hybrid role combines site-based responsibilities with office-based tasks, allowing flexibility in scheduling but requiring regular catch-ups for paperwork and team collaboration.
Key Requirements:
1. Knowledge of Works Management: Understand project requirements, determine necessary work, and ensure proper scheduling and execution of highway activities.
2. Permit Management: Obtain and manage permits, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
3. Inspection and Safety: Conduct site inspections, ensure PPE compliance, mitigate risks, and verify adherence to safety protocols.
4. Qualification: A valid New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) qualification is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
1. Technical Oversight:
1. Assess and plan necessary works for highway activities.
2. Monitor ongoing projects to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.
2. Scheduling and Permits:
1. Coordinate the scheduling of works to minimize disruption.
2. Process and manage permits to comply with legislation.
3. Site Inspections:
1. Inspect live worksites for safety compliance, including PPE and risk management.
2. Document findings and address non-conformance issues.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
1. Maintain accurate records of permits, inspections, and related documentation.
2. Provide performance data and support team reporting needs.
Special Conditions:
1. Flexibility: This role does not have a set number of office days but requires regular attendance for paperwork and team coordination.
PAYE Rate: £16.37 - £16.65 per hour.
