Sales & Administration Assistant Monday – Friday 8am-4pm Salary: £23,500 per annum We are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist merchant company that has a fantastic opportunity for a Sales & Administration Assistant to join their team in Newcastle-under-Lyme. This role is ideal for someone with strong customer service skills and administrative experience, looking to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.The RoleReporting to the Site Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service both in person and over the phone, as well as supporting general warehouse operations, including picking, packing, and ensuring timely order dispatch.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsuring health and safety compliance within the workplaceProviding outstanding customer service both face-to-face and over the phoneProcessing sales, refunds, credits, and account transactions accuratelySupporting trade counter operations, including upselling and order managementHandling general administrative duties, including branch filing and email communicationsAssisting in the warehouse with stock picking, packing, and inventory accuracyPlacing purchase orders and maintaining proof of delivery recordsManaging cash handling, banking, and compliance with company processesKeeping delivery planners and trade counter areas organised and up to dateSupporting sales activity plans and following up on customer quotesWhat They Are Looking ForExperience in administration and customer serviceStrong organisational and multitasking skillsConfidence in handling customer queries and complaints professionallyAbility to work under pressure to meet deadlinesProficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)FLT Licence (desirable but not essential)
