Do you have the skills to take on an exciting specialist role in the physiotherapy service in the West Midlands Regional Adult CF Centre based at Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust?
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, innovative Physiotherapist who is interested in working in the field of CF. You will need good clinical skills, a flexible approach, including excellent team working, organisational and time management skills.
You will work alongside a team of physiotherapists who work as part of the specialist CF multidisciplinary team.
You will join our large dynamic team of Therapists who provide a Therapy service within this teaching Trust, who are committed to continued professional and career development of all staff. Applicants must be prepared to participate in the departmental respiratory on-call system and 7 day working rota within the respiratory teams.

Main duties of the job
To hold responsibility for own case load and be responsible for a defined area of the service or a particular patient type, working without direct supervision. Supervision takes the form of regular formal training and clinical reasoning sessions, peer review, case conferences. Access to advice and support from senior physiotherapists is available if required, clinical work is not routinely evaluated.
To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner and maintain associated records.
To assist with supervision, education and assessment of the performance of physiotherapy students; this would be to a graduate standard and involve working with universities to ensure the standard of practice and teaching meets the standards set by the degree level qualification.
To assist with the supervision, education and co-ordination of physiotherapy assistants, physiotherapy technical instructors and junior physiotherapists.

Qualifications
Essential
1. *Diploma / degree in Physiotherapy
2. *Registered with Health Professions Council
3. *A levels or equivalent qualification
4. *Good standard of general education including GCSE maths and English grade C and above.
5. *Evidence of CPD including recent post graduate training relevant to clinical speciality.
Desirable
6. *Member of the ACPRC/ MTS/BTS
7. *Attendance at Clinical Educators course
Experience
Essential
8. *Demonstrates clinical experience enabling the post holder to manage a caseload of patients within this speciality / within the NHS with experience of elderly and frail elderly, neurological and musculo-skeletal conditions.
9. *Experience of working on a physiotherapy on-call service.
10. *Supervision of student physiotherapists and assistants.
11. *An ability to analyse clinical and non-clinical complex facts and situations, which require the interpretation and comparison of a range of options.
12. *An ability to plan, organise, formulate and adjust complex plans.
13. *An ability to supervise and delegate work to physiotherapists, assistants and students.
Desirable
14. *It is desirable that the candidate will have had some experience within Respiratory Physiotherapy / NIV.
15. *It is desirable that the candidate has some experience in and around critical care environment.
