The Role:
We're on the lookout for a Service Charge Officer to join our team in Basingstoke. This is Part Time opportunity, working 20 hours per week
This isn't just about numbers—it's about ensuring our customers have all the info they need, making sense of the data, and delivering a great service. You'll take ownership of calculating service charge budgets, reconciling accounts, and resolving queries
You'll follow our hybrid approach combining home and office working, including Tuesdays in the office
What You'll Be Doing:
Calculating accurate service charge budgets for existing homes and shiny new builds.
Reconciling accounts with precision and applying adjustments.
Producing clear, compliant service charge statements.
Tackling customer queries—on the phone or in writing—and resolving them.
Diving into data to spot trends, fix discrepancies, and make sense of the numbers.
Keeping records up to date and ensuring everything is audit-ready.
Collaborating with colleagues across teams to make processes smoother and improve how we do things.
Sharing your expertise with teammates and helping newer members find their feet.
About You:
You're someone who:
Strong Excel skills as well as high attention to detail
Previous experience working within a similar role / housing knowledge
Able to plan and prioritise own workload effectively
Has a knack for explaining tricky concepts to others in a way that just makes sense.
Thrives on problem-solving and can spot opportunities to make things better.
Brings a calm, customer-first attitude—even when things get challenging.
Works well in a team, sharing ideas and stepping up to help when needed.
