In addition to being part of an MDT, Ridgeways psychology service offers the opportunity to be part of a psychology team. Consisting of Clinical and Forensic Psychologists, Psychological Therapists, Trainee Clinical and Forensic Psychologists and Higher Assistant Psychologists, there is significant diversity in approach, however, all within the ethos of a trauma informed compassion focused framework. In addition to our clinical work there are opportunities to engage in research projects and the department has strong links with the Teesside Doctoral training course with regular opportunities to work with core, specialist and research trainees. Trainee counselling psychologists are eligible to apply for and to be shortlisted for interview and to be offered qualified posts when they are in their 3rd year of the doctoral training and have the following confirmed as completed by the university.
