The Role:
Joining the busy and friendly team at our workshop in Hook, you will inspect, repair and service vehicles / plant and prepare vehicles for MOT in accordance with HTM and manufacturers’ recommendations.
You will be required to work on your own and as part of a team on all types of vehicles and plant, diagnose and repair faults and, as required, participate in the County Council’s emergency and winter maintenance operations. With a minimum qualification of City and Guilds AVCE, NVQ level 3 or experience in similar role you will, on occasion, deal directly with customers.
This is a great opportunity to develop your career working in a large public sector organisation, you will gain experience with a wide range of vehicles from cars to minibuses and plant, up to and including LGV and HGV, to ensure they are safe and running efficiently.
Potential Additional Earnings:
* £3,000 annual Market Supplement for Level 3 qualified Technicians, subject to conditions.
* £2,000 additional annual Market Supplement available for those holding an automotive industry recognised Level 4 Advanced Vehicle Diagnostics qualification (Master Technician level), subject to conditions.
* £3,000 OTE additional earnings during winter season (October to April) subject to standby Rota participation and callouts, subject to conditions.
* KAARP staff discount scheme.
* Training as required.
