As part of their continued expansion, they are seeking a talented and experienced Management Accountant.
Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to be responsible for the production of full management accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations, and will oversee a small finance team (two Finance Assistants and a Credit Controller).
This role is ideal for someone who is actively studying ACCA/CIMA or is qualified by experience, with proven experience in management accounts production. You will need to be confident in your technical accounting skills, IT systems, and Excel, with a proactive and hands-on approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Full production of monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and variance analysis.
Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Managing and mentoring a team of two Finance Assistants and a Credit Controller to ensure smooth financial operations.
Overseeing prepayments, accruals, fixed assets, and journals.
Reviewing and ensuring accurate bank reconciliations.
Cashflow management and forecasting to support business decision-making.
Providing support and cover for Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger, ensuring financial controls are maintained.
Assisting with the annual external audit and liaising with auditors.
Supporting the Finance Director with financial analysis and reporting.
Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
Skills & Experience
Experience in producing full management accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting principles.
Either studying ACCA/CIMA or qualified by experience.
Previous team management or mentoring experience within a finance team.
A proactive and hands-on attitude
