In this role we are looking for someone to take full ownership of the Management Accounting process and provide advice to the budget holders in the company. The role is a mixture of accounting, advisory, systems development, and process improvement.
We are ideally looking for someone who is a qualified accountant with good experience operating at a hands-on level. You will be a pro-active self-starter who can solve problems and has an interest in continuous improvement.
We are looking for people with the following skills and experience:
* You will be a fully qualified accountant (ICAS, ICAEW, CIPFA, CIMA, or ACCA) and have experience in a busy and fast-paced sector.
* You will have Management Accounting technical expertise and the ability to make sense of this information to help the business improve.
* You will be motivated to help the team succeed through improving processes, systems, and ways of working.
* IT literate with good experience of Microsoft packages, including Excel, ERP systems, and broadly experienced in using software to manage finance.
* Strong financial analysis skills are important, along with a background in budgeting, forecasting, and comparing actual results with forecasts.
* You will have sound judgment and decision-making skills, problem-solving ability, and be a dependable team member.
* You will be an excellent communicator; you will build effective relationships and be pro-active in doing so.
We are looking for someone with excellent all-round skills and experience for this role, ideally gained in an SME scale business.
