Acute medicine cross is looking to recruit exceptional nurses that enjoy fast pace, quick turnover nursing care whilst providing quality patient-centered care.
Working across AMU and the short stay unit, you will be providing care to acute medical patients in the first phase of illness.
We are looking for band 5 staff nurses who are hardworking, motivated, and committed to the delivery of high-quality care to our patients. This is an exciting time to be joining acute medicine, and with the support of our dedicated professional development team, it is a great place to grow in your career.
Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust (SWBT) is an integrated care organization with a budget of approximately £600 million and over 7,000 staff. Diversity and social care is at the core of what we do as the Trust provides community and acute services to over half a million people in an urban center that demands massive regeneration and has substantial premature mortality.
Our new acute hospital, the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital (MMUH), opens in 2024 and will provide care to our local population from first-class, purpose-built premises. As a result, the base of this role may change to MMUH from 2024 (or beyond). If this is applicable to your role, you will be informed during the recruitment process and continue your application with this understanding. The development of the new hospital will play an important role in the regeneration of the wider area and in improving the lives of local people and reducing health inequalities.
We have three strategic objectives:
1. Our People – to cultivate and sustain happy, productive, and engaged staff
2. Our Patients – to be good or outstanding in everything we do
3. Our Population – to work seamlessly with our partners to improve lives
We can offer you a supportive bespoke program designed to meet the needs of your own professional development. This includes a supernumerary period with a dedicated preceptor and close involvement with our practice development nurse who will work with you to achieve further nursing skills.
We have full and part-time hours available, and flexible working can also be discussed, but you must be able to work a variety of days and nights.
Please contact any of us if you want to discuss anything further; we look forward to hearing from you.
