The Role
We are currently recruiting an Electronics Engineer to join us permanently in our Liverpool office.

Embark on a thrilling journey with us at Imperial Brands, working within the Device Engineering Team and reporting to the Electronics Development Manager you will work on New Product Development projects within the R&D pillar of the Innovation function and play a key part in the device development for all new product development projects.
As Electronics Engineer, we are able to offer flexible working solutions to suit the role holder in our Liverpool office.
Principle Accountabilities
1. Work with partners to develop designs through the full product lifecycle; from component selection, schematic capture, PCB Design, delivering prototypes and technical solutions for innovation projects.
2. Expertise in Electronic Engineering for development and technology projects to deliver against design brief and functional performance.
3. Developing innovative concepts to solve engineering challenges.
4. Managing the prototype design, iterative development, and debug/testing activities to validate these concepts, mitigating risk and leverage the capabilities of the team.
5. Work closely with multifunctional counterparts (Marketing/Category, MSC, Quality and Regulatory) to deliver fit for purpose propositions (Consumer, Cost, Scalability) and ensure technical requirements are clearly understood.
6. Develop strong relationships with partners and suppliers to enable access to newest technologies and facilitate prototype production and scale up to full production.
Skills and Experience Required
7. Practical (hands on) experience in electro-mechanical prototype testing
8. Schematic Capture & PCB Design for low power applications
9. Can-do attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
10. Excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving skills
11. Support the technical project lead, collaborate with internal and external partners.
12. Creation of technical documentation and experienced in conducting and reporting verification reports.
