About the Role
Support Worker working with vulnerable adults with Learning Difficulties. Visa sponsorship is available for this role.
We are looking for people with experience in Learning Disability support. Provide person-centred support towards independence by providing a therapeutic, structured service consistent with individual preferences and abilities through facilitation of engagement in social interactions and community activities.
Responsibilities
* To assist in the provision of high quality person-centred approach to support independence and meet individual needs of each client.
* Work as part of a team and lone working and remain awake throughout the shift, pay attention and be alert at all times.
* To assist clients to retain their dignity and individuality and be involved in the general activities of the home.
* To promote and maintain a safe and secure environment for clients, staff members, and visitors.
* To support clients during the night with personal and health needs as required.
* Pay particular attention to assisting clients who have limited mobility or physical, learning difficulties, making the best use of aids provided.
* Observe support planning needs for clients and complete daily records as instructed and in line with the company’s policies and procedures.
* Report on the well-being of clients and follow support plans, completing daily records as instructed.
About You
* Experience or desire to work with vulnerable individuals of various complex needs.
* Experience in Health and Social Care would be an advantage but not essential.
* A person-centred approach to support.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Ability to plan for yourself and others.
* Ability to complete written notes.
* IT literate and confident to use IT for record keeping.
Full-time hours (40-42 hours) available.
