Lincoln Cornhill is proud to be working with a Local Authority based in Derbyshire who are seeking to appoint an Interim Head of Housing Services on a three month period. The position is due to start immediately, with working hours of 37 hours per week, operating on a hybrid working model.
The appointed candidate will ideally have skills in transformation and can identify ways in which the organisation can work more efficiently and effectively. This may include looking at the structure within the service to ensure it meets the needs for the future.
Manage and act as a lead advisor of all Housing functions including: Housing Tenancy Management & Support, Rent Collection, Carelink, CCTV Monitoring, Housing Advice & Allocations, Homelessness, Housing Strategy and Tenant Engagement
Ensure that the Council meet their statutory responsibilities with regards to the prevention and management of homelessness
Seek to retain and increase the Councils existing housing stock, including purchase of properties and other opportunities to increase availability of social housing
Responsible for the operational management, co-ordinating and managing people to ensure effective service delivery
Promote, and actively participate in, greater partnership working, support for the voluntary sector, and community engagement
Strategic experience within a housing role
UK driving licence is required
