Role: Casual General Catering Assistant
Location: All Trust schools in Midsomer Norton and Radstock
Start Date: ASAP

Hours: Casual hours(When Required) Hours between 7.30 am and 3pm
Salary: £12.45 - £12.65 per hour (Grade 1 SCP 3-4)
Midsomer Norton Schools’ Partnership is looking for a General Catering Assistant to join our team, working across schools in the Midsomer Norton And Radstock Area This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for food, great customer service skills, and the ability to work well in a busy, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate kitchen equipment such as dishwasherSet up and supervise the dining area, including managing queues and clearing tablesOperate tills for cashless catering, free school meals, and staff duty meal processesWash crockery, utensils, and kitchen equipment, ensuring food hygiene and safety standardsEnsure the kitchen and dining area are cleaned to a high standard, following health and safety regulationsHelp with basic kitchen preparation for example salad prep /Vegetable Prep
Boxing up meals for delivery to primary schools
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
A basic level of literacy and numeracyValid Food Hygiene CertificateExcellent customer service skillsAbility to work well in a team as well as on your own and respond to a busy environmentA positive attitude towards working with children and young people
Must have own transport due to having to cover various schools around the Area (Mileage will be paid)
