Initially Tuesday - Saturday, subject to change A driving license is required for this role www.thenewtinsomerset.com Our Goods In Supervisor The Goods In and Warehouse Supervisor is a newly established position aimed at enhancing our inbound receiving and warehousing processes. Key responsibilities will include overseeing the daily unloading, reception, inspection, data capture, issue resolution, and storage of all inbound products. This role will also involve compiling and loading export orders. Additionally, the supervisor will manage warehouse space for both new and discontinued products, collaborating closely with Inventory Controllers and the Warehouse Administrator to optimise picking layouts, improve storage efficiency, and ensure effective stock rotation. Support for weekly and monthly stock counts, as well as receipting and picking in external warehouses, will also be part of the role. Key Responsibilities: Manage Goods In diary in collaboration with the Warehouse Administrator and prepare receipt documentation. Unload inbound deliveries, conducting inspections that include HACCP compliance checks, product identification, and QC spot checks. Resolve receipt variances with Inventory Control and Product teams to minimise delays. Oversee the putaway process and manage picking and storage space for new products. Rotate stock for FIFO and Best Before date prioritisation, and collate export orders for transport. Conduct weekly/monthly stock counts and maintain accurate stock and location records. Ensure warehouse hygiene standards and health and safety checks are completed and documented daily. Support, develop and lead the Logistics Team Members alongside the other supervisors and the Assistant Warehouse Manager. The warehouses store a mixture of packaged food, drinks, home and garden retail items, packaging and consumable cleaning products.
