CONTRACTS MANAGER - OAK FIRE PROTECTION
Location: London
What you will be doing:
1. Maintain good client relationships at all levels.
2. Develop and implement project delivery strategies to meet agreed outcomes with clients and other team members.
3. Attend tender handover meetings on secured projects and take responsibility for all construction matters and performance.
4. Verify and check site records and timesheets to assist the Commercial Staff in the administration of subcontract payments and preparation and submission of external Interim Valuations and Applications for Payment, and Final Account.
5. Represent the Company at meetings where requested and ensure that the Company site team, operatives, and labour are aware of their responsibilities.
6. Liaise and co-ordinate with all Business Unit departments to improve communication to benefit and develop the Company's objectives.
7. Manage day-to-day operations of site operatives and ensure any site non-conformities are reported and resolved with minimal disruption.
8. Undertake other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role.
9. Manage and minimise waste.
10. Manage and allocate all staff, foremen, operatives, and labour responsible for installing fire protection works.
Processes:
1. Ensure projects have adequate controls in place and implemented.
2. Promote the Company image, interest, reputation, and standing within the business community.
3. Ensure Change Control procedures are properly used and assist in ensuring their recovery.
4. Order materials detailing correct specifications and reference details, and coordinate their ordering and delivery.
5. Manage and maintain all records, including diaries, letters, emails, and QA records.
6. Ensure proper record keeping of site progress with photographs, written records, and compliance with Company procedures.
Quality:
1. Promote and deliver exceptional safety standards at all times, leading by example.
2. Manage and maintain good quality control on site, ensuring compliance with QA Procedures.
3. Carry out on-site inspections and surveys prior to commencement and acceptance of handover of work areas.
4. Manage internal housekeeping and safety issues, ensuring compliance with HS&E standards.
About You:
1. Passive Fire Protection knowledge is essential.
2. Minimum of 2 years management experience within a similar role.
3. Full understanding of different passive fire stopping systems.
4. Level 2 NVQ in passive fire protection.
5. SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
6. IPAF and First Aid qualification is desirable but not essential.
7. Good communication skills and ability to plan works and resource accordingly.
8. Able to conduct daily site safety briefings and weekly site safety inspections.
9. Able to populate and issue Risk and Method statements to clients.
10. Build and maintain good working relationships with clients and site operatives.
11. Strong commercial awareness.
