The Role We are seeking a friendly, organised, and pro-active Credit Controller to join our London office to support our busy Finance Department. The ideal candidate will be willing to go the extra mile, joining a team who are dedicated and committed to supporting the firm in its client-focussed work. We are looking for a candidate who is strong willed – but calm, someone who is eager to take responsibility and drive projects forward. You will be comfortable with a hands-on role, an excellent communicator, inquisitive but discrete, enthusiastic and willing to work with partners and support staff at all levels Key Responsibilities Attending monthly revenue meetings with Partners and staff to cover all aspects of WIP, debt, disbursements, client monies, time management and billing Providing Partners with client fee breakdowns, using CCH to accurately report matter progress Handling and resolving billing queries to ensure matters are billed promptly Assisting with Credit Control activities including follow ups with Partners on outstanding invoices, contacting clients, reviewing provisioned invoices, playing an active role in ensuring the team is hitting its cash target Dealing with various AP related queries Assisting the Senior Finance Manager with partner and client reports Maintaining professional regulatory standards and knowledge Tracking rebates where necessary Setting up and monitoring secondments and advising Partners of the process Who You Are Flexible and happy to assist with a variety of tasks ‘Can do’ attitude Willingness to learn Organised and strong attention to detail Ability to maintain confidentiality A natural team player in addition to the ability to work on own initiative Your Experience 5 years experience in a similar Credit Control role Good knowledge of IT systems, especially Office 365 Experience working within the Professional Services sector (ideal, not essential) Grade B or above in English and grade C or above in Maths Additional Information Permanent Hours: 9.30am – 5.30pm Hybrid working (4 days in office, 1 from home) Benefits Fantastic private medical insurance 24 days annual leave PLUS bank holidays and 3 additional days over the December holidays 3% Pension contribution Cashback scheme for medical expenses Group Life Insurance Mental and Physical Health Support Option to condense hours for an early finish on Fridays if agreed in advance Additional Time off around the holidays Regular social events and activities – including pizza, breakfast and/or drinks on the rooftop terrace, office, or local venues Cycle to work scheme Season ticket loans Workplace nursery scheme Excellent office space in Fitzrovia
